Marine Lance Corporal Justin Rokohl
Still in his 20’s, Justin Rokohl has seen and experienced more than most will in a lifetime.
In June of 2008, during his second tour of duty overseas, Justin sustained massive injuries after an attack and explosion that launched him 90 feet in the air.
He suffered a broken back, broken hip, fractured tibia and fibulas, two broken femurs, and damage to both legs that could not be repaired or corrected.
Today Justin is able to walk with the use of prosthetics. He works a fulltime job in the oil industry, drives a specially modified vehicle and even takes part in cowboy team roping.
Rokohl is the recipient of 11 different medals and ribbons from the United States military, including the Purple Heart.

The Victoria Texas Sentinels Team was formed in 2010 by Sarah Korczynski and Veronica McCants, Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Land & Homes.
The team has rallied the community behind designated Texas Sentinel Justin Rokohl, as was seen when much of the community attended the luncheon announcing the project. With Brad Blanton of Blanton Builders and architect Chris Hessler at the project forefront, Sarah and Veronica were able to move the project forward with a groundbreaking in Victoria in April of 2011.
The community at large is still lending a hand and the team continues to work toward making Justin’s home a reality.
