Army Sergeant Andrew Miller
Army Sergeant SGT. Miller, an Infantryman, serving with the 4th Infantry Division in Afghanistan, was wounded in an IED explosion while on patrol on Sept. 11, 2010.
SGT. Miller suffered many injuries to include the loss of his leg. After recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington D.C. and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio for almost two years, he was medically retired from the Army in February 2012.
SGT. Miller plans to attend college in Houston to earn a degree in finance.
While serving our country, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart, The Army Accommodation Medal, The Army Achievement Medal, NATO Service Medal and the Afghanistan Service Ribbon. In Afghanistan, he was the Infantry Team Leader and the Squad Designated Marksman.
