Our Success
To date, the Texas Sentinels Program has successfully adopted five deserving soldiers throughout the state of Texas, starting in San Antonio in October of 2009 with the announcement of Retired Army Sergeant Jorge De Leon, a veteran wounded in Afghanistan, as our first Sentinel. Sergeant De Leon was presented with his finished custom home on December 3rd, 2010. In December of 2009, we surprised Mansfield Texas native Retired Army Sergeant Johnny Wilson when we announced his selection into our Sentinels program. He became the second Sentinel to be presented a custom home on February 22nd, 2011. In spring of 2010, we adopted Retired Marine Lcpl. Justin Rokohl into the Texas Sentinels Program and broke ground on his new home in April 2011. At the 2011 RE/MAX of Texas Statewide Convention, Army Sergeant Justin Feagin was announced as the fourth Sentinel, supported by the Collin County Sentinels team. In September 2011, the Texas Sentinels Team in The Woodlands announced Houston native Chris Sanford as their new Sentinel. The foundation plans to continue this success in other areas of Texas, and it is through the commitment and support of citizens throughout Texas that we are able to make the dreams of these heroes come alive.
