Houston’s Furniture Bank was the hero this week when it generously donated some of its inventory to outfit the home of Sentinel of Freedom, League City Donny Daughenbaugh. Furniture Bank Owner Hal Lynde (member of the Texas Sentinels Foundation Houston Team) paid for the pieces, which included a full bedroom set.
“The Furniture Bank was a great help to us for our bedroom set and with lots of other furniture to choose from”, says Donny, who recently relocated to League City with his family from Iowa and is still settling in to his new life as a Texan. “It’s one of Houston’s hidden gems and has a lot of potential to help families in need to fill a home. We are very grateful to the assistance we were given. We look forward to volunteering and even giving some of our furniture to them to find new life in it.”
