League City Sentinel

Representatives from RE/MAX® and the Texas Sentinels Foundation joined the Bay Area Builders Association (BABA) in Friendswood to honor and welcome Sentinels of Freedom, League City beneficiary of community effort to assist severely wounded returning military personnel. Retired Marine Corporal Donny Daughenbaugh, a veteran wounded in Iraq was present along with his family at the BABA-hosted luncheon where he received the honors. The luncheon was attended by a number of notable area officials, including Congressman Pete Olson of the 22nd Congressional District.

We’ve had an exciting summer with the selection and honoring of our Sentinel of Freedom, League City recipient, Marine Corporal Donny Daughenbaugh. So much thanks is due to the Deborah Bly Team from RE/MAX Space Center who worked for over two years raising the funds necessary to give the Daughenbaugh family the chance they deserve to rebuild their lives and have an amazing future. There’s more work to be done and even more exciting events on the horizon.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the immense support of the community and contributors. Your generosity and positive energy have helped a soldier and his family gain a second chance, and we are so grateful for your collaboration in this cause. There are more wounded soldiers who need our help and we know we can make a significant difference in the lives of these men and women who have sacrifices so much for their country.

Thank you again for your continued support and good will.
