CenterPoint Energy participating dealers donate generators to Sentinels

For many wounded warriors, the need for 24/7 protection against power outages is an absolute necessity in order to truly feel safe, comfortable and protected in their new homes.CenterPointlogo

Participating dealers in the CenterPoint Energy 2013 Standby Generator Program are joining forces with the Texas Sentinels Foundation to show their appreciation for the sacrifices of these veterans and you can lend a helping hand by Powering Heroes during this storm season. When you purchase a qualifying program generator, participating dealers will donate a portion of the sales proceeds to fund three generator installations for Houston-area disabled veterans through the Texas Sentinels Foundation.

With the added protection of a natural gas standby generator, these deserving individuals will have the peace of mind of knowing that they won’t have to experience the inconvenience, uncertainty and discomfort of a power outage.

I’m a 100% disabled veteran with injuries sustained in Iraq. I required 24/7 oxygen and my left leg will be amputated this month. I have a grant from the VA for specially adapted housing, but a Generac Generator is not included. How does one apply for the ‘gratis’ Generac Generator?
