The Collin County Association of Realtors (CCAR) honored veterans in their community with their announcement of the Texas Sentinels Foundation as their charities of choice for the 2011 Board Installation Ceremony. The installation, which took place on January 15th, installed the new leadership of the Association, featured RE/MAX LLC CEO Margaret Kelly as the keynote speaker and raised money for the designated charity.
2011 President Mal Smith noted the importance of supporting wounded veterans in the Collin County Community. “We’ve been working since January 2010 to organize for the adoption of Texas Sentinels Foundation, and are excited about making a difference in the lives of our Texas soldiers and their families,” says Mal.
The association, which represents more than 4,000 Realtor and Affiliate members in North Texas, also supports Habitat Humanity, The Samaritan Inn, and the Children Advocacy Center in Plano.
The event raised $3,000 for Texas Sentinels Foundation.
